Help:Editing event pages

Help page

Events are an integral part of Project SEKAI, therefore it is important to show this information in a consistent and well though out layout. This layout includes several templates in order to present the information in a concise manner. In addition, information stored on these event pages get stored in a database and can be used in other pages, so it is best to not make mistakes or miss anything to ensure the correctness of other pages.

A good example of a complete Marathon event page is Stella After the Rain, and a good example for a complete Cheerful Carnival event page is Singing With You in a World Where Cherry Blossoms Dance.

Page content[edit source]

As mentioned earlier, event information is vital, so pages should always include following:

  • Event ID
  • Event name[content 1]
  • Featured unit (or mixed)
  • Event period
  • Type of event
  • Bonus characters
  • Bonus attribute
  • Song commissioned for the event, if there is one
  • Event summary
  • Event cards
  • Mention of any gachas related to the event
  • Bonus cards
  • Cheerful Carnival information, if the event type is Cheerful Carnival
  • Event Shop
  • Final event rankings
  1. Event name information should include the event name in English, if in English already (see Period of NOCTURNE). Otherwise, use a translated English name. It is preferable to use translations by @pjsekai_eng over any other group. When the event name is in Japanese, which it often is, there should also be the event name in Japanese as well as the romanized form of that event name.

Pages should also conclude with navboxes displaying pages related to the event, other unit or mixed events, and the entire event list.

Page layout[edit source]

A typical event page looks like this:

This layout requires the use of many templates, which are found within the event templates category.

Tabs[edit source]

Tabs allow for easy navigation between the event, the event story, the after live (if there is one), and the after talk (if there is one). Every event page should have this.

Templates used in this section:

Infobox[edit source]

The infobox is a table in the top right corner of every event page. It provides a lot of information at a quick glance--without the need for paragraphs of text. This information should include: the id of the event, the name of the event (in Japanese, Romaji, and English wherever applicable), the logo (so that the event can be identified visually easily), the event period, the unit focus, the event type, the bonus characters and attribute, and if applicable, the event song id.

Note that setting the event id, the bonus characters, and the bonus attribute is necessary for other templates on the page, so it is important to get these values correct. Most of these values (bonus character, attribute, event period, etc.) can be obtained from within the game. Although some, like event id, are known either through calculation or through Sekai Viewer. The event song id only applies to certain events and may be left blank. For more details, see the infobox documentation.

Templates used in this section:

Introduction[edit source]

The introduction should briefly cover the event names (English, Japanese, Romaji), the chronological position, the unit focus, and event period, like so:

Stella After the Rain (雨上がりの一番星, Ameagari no Ichibanhoshi) was the first event in Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE!. This event focused on the characters of Leo/need. The event period started on October 9th, 2020 and ended on October 18th, 2020.

Additionally, the introduction should include the event background music, which plays on the event page in game.

Summary[edit source]

The summary includes a teaser for the event story. This summary should be obtained from @pjsekai_eng. This section should also link to the event summary.

Cards[edit source]

To introduce this section, there should be a short sentence explaining how many cards are from gacha and how many are from the Event Shop. Additionally, the gacha name should be mentioned. Following the introduction, the cards associated with this event should be shown, divided up by gacha and Event Shop. To do this, use the {{Event cards}} template.

Here is an example:

5 cards were released alongside this event. 3 cards were added in the Memories of the Starry Night Sky Gacha and 2 cards were added in the Event Shop.

Sometimes, cards are released on Colorful Festival gachas instead. Below is an example of how to introduce that players can obtain the event cards from either gacha:

6 cards were released alongside this event. 4 cards were added in the 1.5 Year Anniversary - Colorful Festival Gacha and 2 cards were added in the Event Shop. The 4 cards added in the Colorful Festival Gacha were later released in Yearning for Spring, a Fleeting Moment in the Evening Gacha, after the 1.5 Year Anniversary - Colorful Festival Gacha ended.

{{Event cards}} should only require the "debut gacha id" (the gacha ID that the event cards debuted on) parameter if {{Infobox event}} was set properly.

Templates used in this section:

Event bonus[edit source]

The event bonus section should include a paragraph about the bonus characters and attribute, as well as the current event bonus system (there are 3 versions). This section should also include the image slide from the game showing the information in visual form. An example of the paragraph explaining the event bonus is shown below:

Event bonus characters for this event are Hoshino Ichika, Tenma Saki, Mochizuki Honami, Hinomori Shiho, and Leo/need variants of all the VIRTUAL SINGERs. The bonus attribute is "cute". Matching either character or attribute grants +25% event bonus while matching both grants +50% event bonus. For more information about Master Rank bonus and the event bonus system in general, see here.

After explaining the event bonus for the current event, there should be sections displaying the cards that match both the bonus character and the bonus attribute. For events using event bonus version 1, this would only require a 50% bonus card section. For events using later versions, this requires both a 70% and a 50% bonus card section.

Templates used in this section:

Cheerful Carnival[edit source]

For events of the Cheerful Carnival type, information such as the theme and the groups involved. Additionally, the winners of each midterm, the winners of the final, and the final points for each group should be shown, when known.

Templates used in this section:

Event Exchange Shop[edit source]

The Event Exchange Shop section includes a paragraph on when the Event Exchange Shop opened and closed for that event. In addition, a table containing all purchasable cards and items should be included. There have been 3 revisions of the event table. Typically the table can be copied and pasted with minor changes, provided that the two Event Shops are in the same revision. Minor changes include changing the Event Exchange Shop cards, the vocal exchange ticket for each unit, and the attributes of the pieces and gems.

Templates used in this section:

Rankings[edit source]

The event rankings section displays the final cutoffs for each tier, as well as the rewards. The event title should be shown here.

Templates used in this section:

Trivia[edit source]

Occasionally there may be trivia associated with the event (see Bout for Beside You). Trivia should be listed as an unordered list.

References[edit source]

There may be references throughout the article; this place serves as the place for the <references /> tag

External links[edit source]

Sometimes there are external links. These external links should be listed as an unordered list.

Navigation[edit source]

Navigation should include navboxes to related pages. The template for the event's navbox requires using {{Event navbox}} and should contain links to the after live (if applicable), the after talk (if applicable), event cards, the costumes for the cards, the gacha related to the event (not Colorful Festival gacha), and the event song (if applicable).
