Multi Live is a multiplayer game mode where up to 5 players play together. Multi lives are available when there is no current event or when the current event is marathon. Rewards in multi lives are better than those in solo lives.

General procedure

A typical multi live proceeds as follows:

  1. Matching period, where a room is found
  2. Song selection period
  3. Difficulty selection period
  4. Rhythm game period
  5. Results period with combo, scores, rewards, etc.

Selecting songs

During song selection period, players can choose a song or "leave it up to you." The song selected for the match is randomly selected out of the songs the players select. If all players in the room choose to "leave it up to you," then a random song is chosen.

Rooms

Public rooms

Players can queue into public rooms. The match will not start until all 5 players are present or if the first player in the room (Player 1) presses the "" button to start the match.

Private rooms

Players can create and join private rooms. Creating a private room generates a 5 digit code; this code can be given to other players to join that specific room. Much like in public rooms, the first person in the room (Player 1) can start the room without 5 players present. Player 1 can also choose to open the private room up to the public, where other players can queue into the private room without knowing the room code. Once opened to the public, there is no way to close that room. After the match concludes, players in the room can choose to join the room.

Scoring

Miscellaneous

  • The player with the highest score is the "MVP" or "Superstar," depending on the score difference between that player and the 2nd highest scoring player.
