In order to maintain consistency, we have made a romanization guide. Please follow this guide. If you unsure about romanization, feel free to discuss about it at Discord server (#wiki-discussion). Mainly, we used Hepburn romanization, but there are things you will need to notice.
Long vowels
We used traditional hepburn for long vowels. Example:
- 怪獣 (かいじゅう) written as kaijuu (monster).
- 大きい (おおきい) written as ookii (big).
- 感情 (かんじょう) written as kanjou (emotions).
- 姉さん (ねえさん) written as nee-san (older sister).
This also applies for words that is followed by a chouonpu (ー). Example:
- バーナー written as baanaa (banner).
- ステーキ written as suteeki (steak).
- コール written as kooru (call).
Some predefined words may don't need to write its long vowel. This applies but not limited to:
- 東京 written as Tokyo.
- 鳳えむ written as Otori Emu.
- 青柳冬弥 written as Aoyagi Toya.
Particles
We used modified hepburn for particles.
- When へ is used as a particle, it is written e.
- レストランへようこそ written as restauran e youkoso.
- When を is used as a particle, it is written o.
- 君を忘れない written as kimi o wasurenai.
