A few things[edit source]

I noticed that you've been contributing a lot lately, thank you for helping out! It is greatly appreciated. We are very lacking in the images department for the costumes so the previews in Mask of Tear gets us one step closer to all costumes with images!

However, there's a few things that I'd like to point out about image names and the content for the image page. Images are preferred to follow a specific format (you can probably see it on any of the newer costume pages) so that it's easy for us and the wiki bot to find them. Additionally, just for organization, it's a good idea to categorize images with the character that is in the picture as well was add {{needs transparency}} for images that need transparent backgrounds. For the character category, it's mainly just to find images easier that include a character. For the transparency template, it's so that whoever wants to start adding transparency can find all the images that require it in one place.

Other than that, great work and thanks again.

I would like to add, for song lyrics please follow the same format as other songs. You can look up at Help:Adding song lyrics or looking at other song for example. Thank you ^^

Virtual lives[edit source]

Hey Rixxy,

I saw that you've done a little work on virtual live pages. We can automatically generate a list using a database query if we make the pages for the live beforehand.

If you're interested, we could figure out how to properly make those pages and slowly add them to the wiki because right now they're kind of barebones.

chaotic (talk) 19:30, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd definitely be up for that. Just let me know what you need me to do and I'll start on it as soon as I can. Sorry for the late reply.

Re:4koma Galleries[edit source]

With Semantic MediaWiki, there was definitely a way to automatically grab images for a gallery based in categories. E.g. query for pages in the "File" namespace and have the categories "4komas" and "Images of Hatsune Miku".

We may be able to do something similar with dpl v3 but I'm not sure. Currently traveling so I don't really have a computer to do any wiki work. I can definitely give it a closer look once I'm back home.

Cutouts[edit source]

In the wiki history I saw that you uploaded the cutout for the Haruka bday card. As far as I'm aware, I don't think there will be cutouts for new cards so I think it's best to just not include them on pages anymore. That image is also not from the game itself so I worry that it'll make people think that there is a cutout that exists in game. Technically thumbnails also aren't straight from assets but people will see something like that in game (well ColoPale's version of thumbnails anyway, not 1:1 to our version). Thoughts?

Re:Cutouts[edit source]

Probably best to remove those from the newer pages then. I can also delete the cutouts that arent difectly from game files too.

It will take some time to get my bearings back but I plan on making a new thumbnail generator program within the next 2 weeks. In the meantime I can share with you the current generator scripts that I used for the bot (they're written in Python). If you don't have that set up, I can send you the program I was going to use for the bot, until they changed it all up on us. This won't require anything special but you will need to find a compression program to make the file size smaller (on Windows I recommend pnggauntlet).

The Python script will require me to share it with you somehow (maybe Google Drive?). The new program just requires a download from the Sekaipedia GitHub. Let me know what works for you.

Re:Cutouts 2[edit source]

This should work, I think.

It's been a while since I had to do any setup for this, but I believe you just need Pillow.

Edits to the BREAK DOWN THE WALL page[edit source]

Hey Rixxy,

Since the event isn't out yet, I think that we should avoid editing the page further since any current information is considered a leak, and wait for the event itself to officially release in order to add shop cards and other things.

I get what you're saying, don't worry I wasn't planning on editing it any further until the event official release. Just a couple of things to make the additions easier for later.

Sorry I realized that it doesn't show your name when you make a new topic LOL this is MathTurtle

That makes sense, sounds good to me

Yeah it doesn't unfortunately lolol, but if you click the x with a squiggle next to it (should be right next to the italics and bold buttons) it'll automatically write a signature ^^
or you can manually type four ~ and it'll put your user and the date when you save changes

Invitation to become an admin[edit source]

Hey Rixxy,

Over the past few months, you've pretty much been keeping the wiki up to date by yourself--thank you. If you'd like, I would be happy to give you administrator permissions to help you with editing and maintaining the wiki.

PS. Our Discord can be joined here. It's way faster to communicate there for most things.

Let me know what you think,

chaotic (talk) 03:13, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

I've added admin permissions to your account. Congrats!

Live 2d models[edit source]

Hi! I'm working on filling out side character pages currently and am having trouble with finding character models of similar quality to the ones you've uploaded. Would it be possible for you to tell me what source you've used for those in the past? I've messaged you on discord about this if you'd rather talk through there. Thank you for reading

side character tabs[edit source]

Hey rixxy I see you're undoing the changes I've made to side character tabs and I don't know why. The reason I've made them is because using "/" creates a link back to the core page, which I wanted to avoid. (This is the same change that's been recently made to unit tabs as well). Is this necessary? If not I'd prefer you not undo this change. Thank you --Phantommarigold (talk) 21:58, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

The reason for a link back is because a slash in the title of that page turns said pages into a subpage, which is why it's used for majority of character pages — since it creates an automatic link to the base page. If you look at a base pages "page information" it will only display subpages if it uses the ("EXAMPLE/Gallery" etc.) title format. If the pages aren't named that way the wiki won't automatically link them together. (I'm bad with words but I hope that makes sense.)

--Rixxy (talk) 22:13, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

Oh, I understand now. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for explaining^^".
--Phantommarigold (talk) 22:16, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
No, no it's okay! I definitely should've mentioned it to you beforehand, I apologise, I kinda ended up absentmindedly editing stuff like usual without thinking first.

after live transcripts[edit source]

Hi, me again lol. I noticed you're planning on making after live transcripts? I actually wrote a python converter for afterlive jsons, if you'd like I could send it to you over discord. It doesn't do everything but it makes the process way quicker! :)
