Welcome!

Hi Rixxy, welcome to the Sekaipedia! We currently do not have any editing guides on the wiki, but feel free to check out our Discord if you have any questions!

Again, welcome!

A few things

Hello!

I noticed that you've been contributing a lot lately, thank you for helping out! It is greatly appreciated. We are very lacking in the images department for the costumes so the previews in Mask of Tear gets us one step closer to all costumes with images!

However, there's a few things that I'd like to point out about image names and the content for the image page. Images are preferred to follow a specific format (you can probably see it on any of the newer costume pages) so that it's easy for us and the wiki bot to find them. Additionally, just for organization, it's a good idea to categorize images with the character that is in the picture as well was add {{needs transparency}} for images that need transparent backgrounds. For the character category, it's mainly just to find images easier that include a character. For the transparency template, it's so that whoever wants to start adding transparency can find all the images that require it in one place.

Other than that, great work and thanks again.

I would like to add, for song lyrics please follow the same format as other songs. You can look up at Help:Adding song lyrics or looking at other song for example. Thank you ^^

Virtual lives

Hey Rixxy,

I saw that you've done a little work on virtual live pages. We can automatically generate a list using a database query if we make the pages for the live beforehand.

If you're interested, we could figure out how to properly make those pages and slowly add them to the wiki because right now they're kind of barebones.

Yeah, I'd definitely be up for that. Just let me know what you need me to do and I'll start on it as soon as I can. Sorry for the late reply.

Re:4koma Galleries

With Semantic MediaWiki, there was definitely a way to automatically grab images for a gallery based in categories. E.g. query for pages in the "File" namespace and have the categories "4komas" and "Images of Hatsune Miku".

We may be able to do something similar with dpl v3 but I'm not sure. Currently traveling so I don't really have a computer to do any wiki work. I can definitely give it a closer look once I'm back home.

Cutouts

In the wiki history I saw that you uploaded the cutout for the Haruka bday card. As far as I'm aware, I don't think there will be cutouts for new cards so I think it's best to just not include them on pages anymore. That image is also not from the game itself so I worry that it'll make people think that there is a cutout that exists in game. Technically thumbnails also aren't straight from assets but people will see something like that in game (well ColoPale's version of thumbnails anyway, not 1:1 to our version). Thoughts?

Re:Cutouts

Probably best to remove those from the newer pages then. I can also delete the cutouts that arent difectly from game files too.

It will take some time to get my bearings back but I plan on making a new thumbnail generator program within the next 2 weeks. In the meantime I can share with you the current generator scripts that I used for the bot (they're written in Python). If you don't have that set up, I can send you the program I was going to use for the bot, until they changed it all up on us. This won't require anything special but you will need to find a compression program to make the file size smaller (on Windows I recommend pnggauntlet).

The Python script will require me to share it with you somehow (maybe Google Drive?). The new program just requires a download from the Sekaipedia GitHub. Let me know what works for you.

Re:Cutouts 2

This should work, I think. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Gnttsto7jG3ox_pPLt36wSMgz1eXxjVR?usp=drive_link

It's been a while since I had to do any setup for this, but I believe you just need Pillow.

Edits to the BREAK DOWN THE WALL page

Hey Rixxy,

Since the event isn't out yet, I think that we should avoid editing the page further since any current information is considered a leak, and wait for the event itself to officially release in order to add shop cards and other things.

I get what you're saying, don't worry I wasn't planning on editing it any further until the event official release. Just a couple of things to make the additions easier for later.
