For events that started prior to v1.10.0, each card that matched a character or the attribute provided a +20% event bonus. However, if the card matches both a character and the attribute, it provided +50% event bonus. This resulted in a maximum event bonus of +250%. Note that VIRTUAL SINGER's support unit must match exactly. For example, the [[KAMIKOU FESTIVAL!]] event had [[Wonderlands×Showtime]] KAITO as a bonus character. In order to get the +20% character bonus, you must use a card with Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO, any other unit's KAITO card would not contribute to the event bonus. The last event that used this event bonus calculation was [[Mirage of lights]]. |

===After v1.10.0=== |
|||
Starting with the [[Scramble Fan FESTA!]] event, the bonus calculation was changed to where a card that matches a bonus character or bonus attribute now provides +25% event bonus. Matching both provides +50% like before. However, the cards that are introduced into the banner give +70% rather than the normal +50%. VIRTUAL SINGER cards with a support unit still follow the same rules: Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO still requires a Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO card. VIRTUAL SINGER cards without a support unit now provide a +15% event bonus regardless of the support unit. Using the same example as before, if Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO is a bonus character, a KAITO card with no support unit would provide +15%. |
|||
Cards with master ranks now provide a slight event bonus, depending on the rarity of the card. |

Revision as of 20:21, 13 October 2021
Events are periods of 7 to 10 days where players earn event points and event badges after finishing a live; event points are used to unlock stories while event badges are used as a currency to buy items in the event shop. In addition, each event is accompanied by a new story and a new banner. Each event has five character bonus and an attribute bonus that will help to get event bonus. After the event ends, a new after live may be available, and ranking rewards will be given for each ranking range in the next day.
List of events
- List of events, all events in one list, separated by year.
- List of marathon events
- List of cheerful carnival events
Types of events
Currently, there are two types of events in Project SEKAI, they are Marathon type and Cheerful Carnival type. Marathon was introduced on October 9th, 2020 with the first event of the game, Stella After the Rain. Cheerful Carnival was introduced on April 1st, 2021 with Singing With You in a World Where Cherry Blossoms Dance.
Marathon
In marathon events, players can play solo, multi, and challenge live like usual. After finishing these lives, they will gain some event points and badges based on their score, song length, and event bonus.
Cheerful Carnival
In this event type, two teams will compete against each other and multi live is replaced with cheerful live. In each match, the team winning team will gain 2 points while the losing team will gain 1 point. A special match may appear randomly. It multiplies points earned by x10 or by x100 for each teams. That means, the winning team will gain 20 or 200 points while the losing team will gain 10 or 100 points.
Throughout the event, it will be divided into three sections: first midterm, second midterm, and final. During first midterm and second midterm, a team with higher point is announced and they will become the leading team. The members of leading team are given 3 small live bonus drinks while the members of the trailing team only get 2 small live bonus drinks. In the final, members of the winning team get 200 crystals, while members of the losing team get 150 crystals.
To participate, players are given a choice to pick one team, both of team names are related to the Cheerful Carnival's theme. Before the first midterm result, players can switch to the other team, and this can be done only once. After selecting a team, players can head to the Cheerful Live game mode, where each teams will compete between each others. After two teams are matched together, system will pick a song randomly. Unlike normal multi live, players can gain event points and event badges much more than normal multi live.
Event bonus
Each event has characters and an attribute that will contribute to your party's event bonus. The event bonus increases the event point and badge gain after each live. Thus, you should prioritize the bonus characters and attributes over card rarity. While it is recommended to get as much bonus as possible, it is worth losing ~30% bonus in order to get into the veteran room.
Prior to v1.10.0
For events that started prior to v1.10.0, each card that matched a character or the attribute provided a +20% event bonus. However, if the card matches both a character and the attribute, it provided +50% event bonus. This resulted in a maximum event bonus of +250%. Note that VIRTUAL SINGER's support unit must match exactly. For example, the KAMIKOU FESTIVAL! event had Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO as a bonus character. In order to get the +20% character bonus, you must use a card with Wonderlands×Showtime KAITO, any other unit's KAITO card would not contribute to the event bonus. The last event that used this event bonus calculation was Mirage of lights.
After v1.10.0
Starting with the Scramble Fan FESTA! event, the bonus calculation was changed to where a card that matches a bonus character or bonus attribute now provides +25% event bonus.
Cards with master ranks now provide a slight event bonus, depending on the rarity of the card.

Event shop
The event shop contains new 3☆ and 2☆ cards, non-farmable materials (such as jewels or intermediate skill up scores), and farmable materials (such as coins or miracle gems). These 3☆ and 2☆ cards are exclusively available during this event, and are cards for 2 of the 5 members that provide a bonus. The attribute of these cards will not necessarily match the attribute that provides a bonus.
After live
Most events have after lives, which are virtual lives with characters featured during the event. After watching the after live, players are gifted 300 crystals and a stamp. Players who missed the after live or wish to re-watch the after live may do so in stories. Players who watch the after live for the first time after missing the original times will receive the stamp but not the crystals.
