Touno Arata (遠野新) is a side character associated with the Vivid BAD SQUAD unit.
He first appears in the Vivid BAD SQUAD event story STRAY BAD DOG, and has occasionally appeared in event and card stories since then.
Background[edit | edit source]
Arata is an active teen in the live music scene of Vivid Street.
Arata, like Akito and An, witnessed RAD WEEKEND and has the goal of surpassing it, alongside his partner Miyata Souma. According to Ken, Arata went abroad to train for several years in middle school. Some time after, Souma was in a car accident, and Arata continues to work and practice alone while he recovered.
He first meets the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD in the STRAY BAD DOG event story. He attends a live show they perform at, and later meets Akito and Toya at a street performance, where they have a song battle. He later goes up against Akito solo, then all of Vivid BAD SQUAD, at a live event, which ends in a draw.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Arata has green eyes and short brown hair, with and orange streak in his bangs.
He wears a black turtleneck top, with a torn white undershirt and a brown, green, and yellow flannel. He also wears torn black jeans, a silver chain necklace, a black bracelet and a silver ring.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Arata is fiercely competitive, straightforward, and incredibly sure of his abilities. When confronted by Akito, he confidently stated that he was more skilled than him, and laid out the reasons why the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD wouldn't stand a chance at surpassing RAD WEEKEND.
He does, however, have great respect for those who do possess skill, curious to follow Vivid BAD SQUAD and see their improvement in the future.

- Azusawa Kohane: Fellow musician and rival. Arata admires her talent, but looks down on her as an amateur.
- Shiraishi An: Fellow musician and rival. Arata thinks she has sufficient talent, but needs polishing.
- Shinonome Akito: Fellow musician and rival. Arata thinks he's hot-headed and full of himself.
- Aoyagi Toya: Fellow musician and rival. Arata thinks he has an incredible ear and perfect pitch, and that he's wasting his talent on Vivid BAD SQUAD.
