Seiryuin Sakurako (青龍院 櫻子) is a side character associated with the unit Wonderlands×Showtime.
She first appears in the On a Holy Night, with This Singing Voice event story.
Background[edit | edit source]
Sakurako is a performer and employee at Phoenix Wonderland and a member of the Phoenix Stage, which is considered the best and most popular theatre troupe in the entire park.
She serves as somewhat of an antagonist earlier on in the Wonderlands×Showtime storyline, looking down on the group and especially Nene who she has a similar role to. Later on she becomes more of a rival, her respect for the group increasing.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Sakurako has amber eyes and long dirty blonde hair that she wears in a half up-half down style with two high up twintail drills held by hair ties resembling jester hats.
She dons a performance outfit consisting of mostly red and white along with black and yellow accents. Her outfit has a consistent motif of hearts and ruffles. Her signature being the prominent heart symbol painted under her left eye.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Sakurako is loud spoken and overly self-confident - coming across as extremely egotistical especially upon her initial introduction, with Emu even saying she's "just like Tsukasa". She openly critiques others she views as lesser to a point where it becomes harsh and insulting. However, after being moved to tears by Nene's singing she begins to lean more into constructive criticism, more focused on actually giving pointers for others to improve instead of purely pointing out any flaws she personally thinks they have.
Relationships[edit | edit source]
- Tenma Tsukasa: Fellow performers and formerly both employees at Phoenix Wonderland, she and Tsukasa are observed to be similar personality wise by others. Sakurako initially views Tsukasa as hotheaded, whilst he sees and even calls her a "snooty brat" - though they're later shown to work well together and form a mutual respect.
- Otori Emu: Fellow performers and formerly both employees at Phoenix Wonderland. Sakurako shares the same sentiment as Emu in not wanting Phoenix Wonderland to change due to the happy memories she has of the place from when she was a child.
- Kusanagi Nene: Fellow performers and formerly both employees at Phoenix Wonderland. Sakurako, whilst not admitting it often, greatly admires Nene and her talents despite looking down on her when they initially met.
- Kamishiro Rui: Fellow performers and formerly both employees at Phoenix Wonderland.
- Robonene: Despite Robonene only being, as the name implies, a robot, Sakurako is frequently shown to be intimidated by her throughout multiple 4komas.
