I gave the script a read thinking a parody of Romeo and Juliet might be fun, but all you've got here is a bunch of fight scenes and weird plot twists.

ロミオとジュリエットのパロディーって聞いて台本読んでみたら、バカみたいに戦うシーンばっかりだし、話の展開も変だし……

How can anyone feel moved by this?

You just don't get it! Seeing nine Romeos battling it out to the death to prove their love is going to be a gripping spectacle!

全く、何もわかっとらんな！９人のロミオによる、命と真実の愛を賭けたバトルシーンはどう考えても感動するだろう！

Oh, I love that scene too. Desperate to win the heart of their beloved Juliet, the Romeos mercilessly slaughter each other one after another.

ああ、あの場面は僕も好きだよ。愛するジュリエットのために、ひとり、またひとりと無残に散り逝くロミオ達……

Blood gushes left and right to the accompaniment of agonized screams. And yet, the audience is unable to contain their laughter.

飛び散る血潮。悲痛な慟哭。だというのに、見ている者は何故か笑いを堪えきれない……

I think it's wonderful that we can make a comedy out of this tragic story about a fatal fight for love.

愛する者を奪いあうという悲劇を、あそこまでの喜劇に仕立てあげた手腕は素晴らしいものだと思うよ
