Hoshino Ichika (星乃 一歌) is a first-year student at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy. She's the guitarist of Leo/need.
Ichika is childhood friends with her fellow band members.
Official description
"The vocaloist and guitarist from Leo/need. Seems aloof at first, but is very friendly and caring when you get to know her. She's known Saki, Honami, and Shiho since they were little, but a certain event drove a wedge between them. Ichika is a big fan of Miku and loves listening to her songs."
Background
Ever since she was a child, she loved Hatsune Miku. Ichika would often sing Miku's songs while playing on the guitar she got from her father.
Ichika used to be childhood friends with Tenma Saki, Mochizuki Honami and Hinomori Shiho. Because of an incident, her relationships with Honami and Shiho became strained.
Appearance
Ichika has blue eyes and long black hair, worn loose.
Her casual outfit consists of a red and black plaid blouse covered with a gray hoodie jacket, black denim pants, and black and white sneakers.
Her band uniform consists of a white sleeveless blouse with a leather strap on her right shoulder attached to a black pleated skirt with blue accents, along with a blue jacket wrapped around her waist. She also wears a single black glove on her right hand, a pair of leather straps on her right thigh, and black mid-calf boots with black socks.
Personality
Although she seems stoic at first, Ichika is a kind girl who is always thinking about her friends. According to Honami, she can't always communicate well.
Relationships
Tenma Saki: Childhood friends and classmate. Ichika feels Saki is always smiling while Saki is glad Ichika is always there for her.
Mochizuki Honami: Childhood friends, but their relationship became strained. Ichika thinks Honami is always nice to everyone, but Honami thinks Ichika can't always communicate well.
Hinomori Shiho: Childhood friends, but their relationship became strained. Shiho currently doesn't want to talk to Ichika.
Kiritani Haruka: Friend and fellow classmate.

"Hi everyone. Are you having fun? My name is Ichika Hoshino. I am the singer and guitarist of Leo/need. Thanks for coming to our gig today.
Um... So that was an attempt at an actual live show greeting... But I'm not really sure what I should talk to the audience... Talk about my hobbies? My hobbies... Um, I don't really have any... Oh! But I do like Hatsune Miku's songs! Hmm? When do I listen to them? When I'm free or in a bad mood, I guess. When I listen to her songs, I feel more relaxed. And, when I got my guitar from my dad, I practiced a lot because I wanted to be able to play some of them. That was probably when he told me about the origin of my name. My parents first met each other because they both liked the same song! After that, they fell in love. They gave me the name of Ichika, which means one song, because I was the child they were blessed with after being brought together by a song. My dad hopes that one day, I'll meet someone special through a song too.

Anyways, what else should I talk about? My future goals? Well, I didn't really know what I wanted to do when I first entered High School. Every day just kind of drifted by. But I managed to start a band with Saki. Then, our other childhood friends Honami and Shiho joined us. A lot of things happened in the way, though... But, I'm happy that the four of us are together again. Every day is really fun. So, my goal for the future is to do my absolute best for our band. Um... I guess that's it."
