Project SEKAI Championship 2022 Spring (プロジェクトセカイChampionship 2022 Spring) was an official tournament held on April 30, 2022 in the suburbs of Tokyo. It was organized by SEGA, the publisher, and Colorful Palette, the developer of Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE!. This tournament used a single-elimination format and consisted of 8 teams, each with 3 members. The winning team took home the grand prize of 1 million yen, while the runner up received 300,000 yen.

To reach the main event, players had to go through 2 rounds of qualifiers. These qualifiers were held online in the months of February and March.

The main event, while in-person in Tokyo, was viewable by anyone online through the YouTube and Twitter livestreams.

Online qualifier[edit | edit source]

Main event[edit | edit source]

Prohibited matter[edit | edit source]

Players must not do any of the following:

  1. Violate these rules and regulations.
  2. Be late or not registering for the tournament.
  3. Resell the extra prize, if awarded, on resale websites or transfer the right to receive the extra prize.
  4. Disclose information related to the tournament management to outside parties without permission.
  5. Provide false information in the declaration at the time of participation.
  6. Have multiple entries to the competition by the same person.
  7. Transfer the right to participate in the competition to another person.
  8. Fail to assemble at the designated place at the designated time.
  9. Abandon and leave the tournament after the start of the tournament without the permission of the management team.
  10. Fail to follow instructions or requests from the tournament management staff as necessary for the progress of the tournament or intentionally obstruct the progress or management of the tournament.
  11. Fail to respond appropriately to questions from the event management staff necessary for the progress of the event or make false declarations to the tournament management staff.
  12. Intentionally make it impossible to continue playing, such as by disconnect the network or forcibly terminating the client.
  13. Distribute or promise to distribute prize money to opponents or other players.
  14. Intentionally encourage other players to lose, or intentionally lose in response to such encouragement.
  15. Attempt to determine the winner by any method other than game play.
  16. (13), (14), and (15), as well as intentionally cut corners in play, make any kind of agreement with other players about the outcome of the game or the content of play, or otherwise show unsportsmanlike conduct or attitude to the management team, other players, or spectators.
  17. Communicate with anyone other than opponents or tournament management staff during play without the permission of the management team, or receive advice on the game.
  18. Talk to a player in play without permission.
  19. Take notes or making any other record of play during play without the permission of the tournament management staff.
  20. Leave one's seat during play without the permission of the tournament management staff.
  21. Operate any electronic equipment other than the required equipment during play.
  22. Intentionally take advantage of a client vulnerability or defect.
  23. Use or attempt to use illegal tools to perform illegal operations.
  24. Use improper names or other inappropriate in-game names that are offensive, obscene, discriminatory, offensive, or may infringe on publicity rights.
  25. In and outside the competition venue or on social networking services, etc., use "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku" in a manner that discredits "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku"; engage in ungentlemanly conduct such as abusive language, harassment, violence, or inciting other players; or engage in any other conduct that violates various laws.
  26. Enter the tournament venue wearing clothing that conceals one's face or identity or that is offensive to public order and morals. (Exceptions will be made for anti-corona masks.)
  27. Violate the terms and conditions for the use of "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Miku Hatsune" terms and conditions.
  28. Gamble in connection with this tournament.
  29. Associate with anti-social forces.
  30. Enter into a sponsorship agreement with a person who sells or provides any of the following items or services, or promote any of the following items or services. In addition to statements, the contestants are also eligible to use their in-game names or wear clothing that may be used for advertising purposes. *This does not apply with the prior consent of the management team.
    1. Pornography, cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, illegal digital contents, and other items or services prohibited for sale in Japan.
    2. "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku" and other services that violate the terms of use of SEGA Corporation and Colorful Palette Inc. games.
    3. Services that violate the terms of use of "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku" and other items or services that compete with the business of SEGA Corporation and Colorful Palette Co.
  31. Make false declarations about having been infected with the new coronavirus or having had contact with a suspected patient.
