Shinonome Ena (東雲 絵名) to uczennica na drugim roku w szkole Kamiyama High School, ale uczęszcza tylko na częściowe lekcje nocne. Jest ilustratorką podziemnego kółka muzycznego 25-ji, Nightcord de. (Nightcord at 25:00).
Ena używa pseudonimu Enanan (えななん) w internecie.
Motywy Eny
Ojciec Eny jest znanym artystą i jednocześnie jej inspiracją do rysowania. Jednakże, nie wierzy w to, że Ena ma w sobie to coś, co mają profesjonalni artyści. Jest ona też starszą siostrą Akito. Ena jest obeznana w mediach społecznościowych, jest dosyć popularna w internecie. Jej zdjęcia zdobywają wiekszą rozpoznawalność niż jej rysunki, co ją bardzo denerwuje.
Od czasu eventu "On This Blank Canvas, I Paint" zobaczyliśmy, że jej pragnienie akceptacji i uznania zaczęło się gdy jej nauczyciel sztuki w szkole średniej uznał, że jej obrazy są tylko "okej". Następne kilka dni Ena ciężko pracowała nad kolejnym obrazem z nadzieją, że otrzyma pochwałę od nauczyciela. On jednak powiedział, że zbyt się stara nad swoimi ilustracjami i obsypał prace innych uczniów pochwałami. Ena nie wiedziała jak się z tym czuć i nie wiedziała co powiedzieć.
Yoisaki Kanade widziała jej ilustracje w internecie i zaprosiła ją do dołączenia do jej muzycznego kółka jako ilustratorka. Dowiadujemy się też, że Ena raz wrzuciła do internetu własny cover jednej z piosenek Kanade.
Wygląd
Ena ma duże brązowe oczy i krótkie brązowe włosy z grzywką zaczesaną na prawo. Po lewo ma związanego warkoczyka którego zakłada za swoje ucho. Jej głos jest słodki i możemy w nim usłyszeć dużo oddechów.
Jej podstawowy strój zawiera brudno-różową, koszulę z falbankami i długimi rękawami oraz czarną, krótką plisowaną spódniczkę z niskimi butami na obcasie. Na szyi nosi czarny choker, a warkocza związuje czarną kokardką. Jej podstawowy outfit jak i cała Ena wygląda na inspirowaną stylem Jirai-kei.
Kostium w którym występuje Ena zawiera ciemno szary, japoński uniform z długimi rękawami który przechodzi w inne odcienie szarości. Jej sukienka na dole jest zakończona czarną koronką i białymi falbankami. W około jej szyi znajduje się biały kołnierz z pomarańczowo-czarną kokardką. W okolicy klatki piersiowej ma zawiązaną czarno-szarą kokardkę. Do tego stroju ubiera niskie buty na obcasie z białymi skarpetkami z falbankami.

Personality
Ena is a strong-willed girl. When she draws, she starts living in her own world, and disregards everything around her. As observed by her fellow members, she forgets to turn off her mic, and they then hear her muttering several comments about her illustrations, mostly about how they're not what she is going for. Because of her father's inability to accept her and her illustrations, she's grown envious of those she deems to have talent and becomes bitter when those people throw it away; as she does not believe she has talent. Furthermore, she craves attention and praises for her art, leading her down the road of perfectionism. She gets flustered when her fellow members compliment them and angry when they do otherwise.
She is also described as a "tsundere" by Mizuki. Though she is not usually cold, she would hesitate when her friends would suggest ideas she is not into. She is also known to be kind of sarcastic towards them as well. However, she also has a caring and soft side as well. In the story of Secret Distance, she becomes worried of Mizuki while they were trying to find Mafuyu, because they went into the Empty SEKAI to find her. In the last scene of the story, she worries about them (Mizuki) again, as she woke up and saw their frown in the train moments ago in the story. She is also a scaredy-cat, as seen in the same event story, wherein she constantly screams while the group walks through the rumored haunted tunnel.
Ena wants attention, as it somewhat gives her comfort and happiness. She is fond of taking selfies of herself and posts them online, and is very proud of them. As seen in one of the 1-panel comics, she panics because her selfies usually lose to cat videos. In the stories of 25-ji, Nightcord de., she is sometimes seen taking a selfie when she is down and posts it on the internet. She would then cheer up because of the compliments and praise from the comments she sees.
Relationships
- Yoisaki Kanade: Fellow circle member. Ena is grateful that Kanade saw worth in her illustrations.
- Asahina Mafuyu: Fellow circle member. Ena is jealous that Kanade trusts Mafuyu very much.
- Akiyama Mizuki: Fellow circle member. They get along well, but sometimes argue with each other.
- Momoi Airi: Have been friends with each other since middle school.
- Shinonome Akito: Ena's younger brother. Despite them attending same school, Ena only takes night classes compared to Akito who attends normal day classes. Ena shares the same food likes and dislikes with her brother, Akito. She gets annoyed when Mizuki mentions this in her introduction video.
