Hoshino Ichika (星乃 一歌) è una studentessa del primo anno alla Accademia Femminile Miyamasuzaka. Lei è la chitarrista di Leo/need.
Ichika è l'amica d'infanzia dei suoi fidati membri della band.
Passato
Da quando era piccola amava Hatsune Miku. Ichika spesso cantava le canzoni di Miku's mentre suonava la chitarra che le aveva dato il padre.
Ichika era amica d'infanzia di Tenma Saki, Mochizuki Honami e Hinomori Shiho. Per colpa di un incidente, i suoi rapporti con Honami e Shiho si sono allargati.

Although she seems stoic at first, Ichika is a kind girl who is always thinking about her friends. According to Honami, she can't always communicate well. She enjoys listening to Hatsune Miku songs and taking care of cacti.
Relationships
- Tenma Saki: Childhood friends and classmate. Ichika feels Saki is always smiling while Saki is glad Ichika is always there for her.
- Mochizuki Honami: Childhood friends, but their relationship became strained. Ichika thinks Honami is always nice to everyone, but Honami thinks Ichika can't always communicate well.
- Hinomori Shiho: Childhood friends, but their relationship became strained. Shiho currently doesn't want to talk to Ichika.
- Kiritani Haruka: Acquaintance and fellow classmate.
- Tenma Tsukasa: Acquaintances. They know each other because he is Saki's older brother. Ichika seems to think he is loud.
- Asahina Mafuyu: Acquaintances and fellow class representatives. They seem to know each other a little.
- Yoisaki Kanade: Acquaintances. They met each other in 'Intersecting Melodies, Glowing Warmth,' when both were reaching out for the last CD album in stock of a Miku song. Ichika and Kanade admire each others' hair, but don't tell the other.
