Mochizuki Honami (望月 穂波 Mochizuki Honami) es una estudiante de segundo año de la Academia de Niñas Miyamasuzaka. Ella es la baterista de Leo/need.

Trasfondo
Honami era amiga de la infancia de Hoshino Ichika, Tenma Saki y Hinomori Shiho. Pero por un incidente, sus relaciones se volvieron tensas.
Apariencia

Su ropa casual consiste en una camisa negra con una sudadera blanca, un collar negro y plateado, una falda marrón claro, medias transparentes pantyhouse gris oscuro, y unas botas Mary Janes con tacones bajos negras.
Su uniforme de banda consiste en una blusa blanca con un moño rayado rojo, un abrigo rojo con bordes dorados con un par de mangas esponjosas con moños negros al rededor, una falda plisada negra con decoraciones rojas con una tela de volantes extra negra. Utiliza guantes sin dedos negros, un cinturón negro con un colgante de estrella dorado y unas botas de taco alto hasta la pantorrilla con calcetines negros.
Personalidad
Honami es una estudiante con honores inteligente, amable y atlética que se destaca tanto en lo académico como en lo deportivo. Sueña formar su futuro lleno de gentileza, trata a todos a su alrededor con amabilidad y siempre ayuda a las personas a su alrededor. Ella sabe lo díficil que es cuando las persinas no tienen a nadie quien escuche sus problemas. Shiho dice que antes de comenzar la media escuela, era tanto generosa como aseriva y desafiaría a las personas agresivas. Su cabeza está en las nubes a menudo, pensando el tartas de manzana y en aquel sueño de gentileza que la hizo perder el tacto con el presente y con sus compañeros, que malinterpretaron su amabilidad.
Honami siempre trató ambas caras del argumento equitativamente y dio sus animos de la misma manera, pero eso hizo que sus compañeros de clase la vieran como una persona hipócrita, falsa, desleal y egoísta que solo deseaba estar bien parada con todo el mundo. En poco tiempo fue aislada, ignorada y acosada por sus compañeros de clase, pero cuando sus amigas de la infancia preguntaron qué sucedía, Honami respondía que nada pasaba y que no se preocupen, ya que ella no quería que el mismo destino caiga en sus amigas. Luego de escuchar a sus compañeros hablar mal de Ichika por ser su amiga, le dijo a Ichika que ya no quería volver a hablar con ella y se distanció de sus amigas de la infancia. Así, Honami se convirtió en una marginada social sin quién hablarle en la escuela, hasta el punto en que le admite a Kanade que deseaba desaparecer.
Su personalidad cambió drásticamente gracias a esta experiencia traumática. Se convirtió en una persona indecisa, incapaz de expresar sus emociones por miedo de ser excluida por sus pensamientos. También perdió sus antiguos ideales de generosidad y el concepto de amistad ya que solo asentía y aceptaba todo lo que otros decían para no enojarlos y recibir acosos como en la escuela media. Esta también es la razón por la que ella se distanció de sus amigas de la infancia ya que evitó a todo el mundo salvo sus compañeros de clase para no volver a ser llamada hipócrita y desleal. También demuestra que ya no sabe lo que es confiar en alguien, Shiho señala que Honami sabe que sus compañeros de clase la abandonarían sin pensarlo dos veces.
Luego de revelar sus sentimientos verdaderos a sus amigas de la infancia, remediando su relación y formando Leo/Need ella decide intentar expresar sus emociones con más frecuencia.
En su primer evento central "No dejes que tus dudas te detengan" conoce a MEIKO en el Sekai que le enseña y aconseja que hay más de una manera de mostar la generosidad que Honami desea y que la generosidad también requiere el coraje para defenderse por su cuenta, lo que le brindó el coraje necesario para hablar y superar los miedos causados por su trauma.
Honami tiene un gran interés por la astronomía ya que le enseña a sus amigas de la infancia como observar las estrellas y tiene amplios conocimientos en constelaciones. También ama comer tartas de manzana, comprando cantidades exuberantes a menudo.
Honami treated both sides equally in an argument and tried to cheer them up and comfort them but because of this her classmates thought that she was a two faced, fake, disloyal and selfish person who only wants to get on everyone’s good sides. Soon she was isolated, ignored and bullied by her classmates but when her childhood friends asked her what’s wrong she said that they shouldn’t worry and everything was fine since she doesn’t want that they get bullied too because of her. After overhearing her classmates talking badly about Ichika for being her friend she told Ichika not to talk to her anymore and isolated herself from her childhood friends. Honami then became a lonely, bullied outcast with nobody to talk to in middle school to the point she admitted to Kanade that she wants to disappear.
Due to this traumatic experience her personality drastically changed. She became very indecisive and unable to express her emotions because she fears that other people wouldn’t like her for them. She also lost her previous ideals of kindness and concept of friendship as she only nods and agrees with everything anyone says just to not upset them and be bullied again like in middle school. This is also the reason why she and her childhood friends drifted apart since she actively avoids everyone outside her class so that other people wouldn’t call her two faced and disloyal again. It’s also shown that she doesn’t trust anymore and Shiho pointed out how obvious it is that Honami believes that her classmates and current friends would turn on her given half a chance. After revealing her true feelings to her childhood friends, making up with them and forming Leo/Need she decides to try and express her true feelings more often.
In her first focus event “Don’t let your doubts set you back” she meets MEIKO in her Sekai who teaches and mentors her that there’s more than one form of the kindness Honami wants and that kindness also needs courage to stand up for oneself which gave her the courage to speak up and overcome her doubts that her middle school trauma gave her.
Honami has a great interest in astronomy as she teaches her childhood friends how to stargaze and has a great knowledge about constellations. She also loves to eat apple pies, often buying a comical amount of them.
Relationships
- Hoshino Ichika: One of Honami's childhood friends, fellow bandmate and classmate in Honami's second year. Their relationship became strained before Saki's return in the main story, with Honami avoiding Ichika. Their relationship has greatly improved since then and Ichika relies and trusts Honami, whilst Honami feels Ichika has helped her out immensely.
- Tenma Saki: One of Honami's childhood friends and fellow bandmate. Their relationship became strained before Saki's return in the main story, with Saki still wanting to be friends with Honami - whilst Honami, though glad of Saki's return, felt awkward around her. Their relationship has greatly improved since then, with Honami caring for Saki and always trying to make sure she's smiling and Saki loving how kind and gentle Honami is.
- Hinomori Shiho: One of Honami's childhood friends and fellow bandmate. Their relationship became strained before Saki's return in the main story, with the both of them feeling awkward around the other and avoiding eachother. Their relationship has greatly improved since then, with Shiho trusting Honami and viewing her as a necessary pillar for the band whilst Honami is thankful for Shiho's guidance and how she doesn't waver or sugar-coat critiques.
- Hinomori Shizuku: The older sister of Honami's bandmate Shiho and someone Honami knew during her childhood.
- Azusawa Kohane: Friends and classmates during Honami's second year.
- Tenma Tsukasa: The older brother of Honami's bandmate Saki and someone Honami knew during her childhood. Honami greatly appreciates how much Tsukasa cares for his sister and even helps them make up after an argument.

- Yoisaki Kanade: Honami is Kanade's part-time housekeeper, and ensures she eats proper meals and the house is clean. The two have become good friends since Honami started work as Kanade's housekeeper.
- Asahina Mafuyu: Honami's upperclassman, Honami is a part-time housekeeper at Mafuyu's current residence (the Yoisaki house).
