Nene helps Ichika practice her singing. Ichika improves but mentions it still feels like something's missing, and Nene suggests it may be because she still has doubts about her abilities. Relating, Nene mentions she overcame her own feelings by remembering why it was so fun to sing and that Ichika experiencing a moment like that will help the most.

At practice, Leo/need mentions how much better Ichika's voice sounds, but Ichika still wonders what she can do to get even better.

Chapter 2[edit | edit source]

The next day in SEKAI, Ichika stays back after practice to talk to Miku about how to become more confident. Miku says singing in front of people might help her and suggests doing a street performance.

The following day, Ichika heads to Main Street to perform. She tries to perform but finds herself unable to be as loud as she usually is and starts getting anxious at the thought of people laughing at her. Still, she keeps singing, finds no one is even listening to her, and stops for the day.

Chapter 3[edit | edit source]

Dejected, Ichika wanders to Scramble Crossing and hears Kohane confidently performing a Miku song. She stops Kohane and compliments her singing, and the two relate through their lack of experience and wanting to get better for the sake of their respective dreams. When Ichika mentions her anxiety from performing earlier, Kohane says she felt the same when she first started and that her teammates believing in her made her want to practice as much as she can to not disappoint them. Ichika resolves to keep doing what she can to get better.

Chapter 4[edit | edit source]

Returning to Main Street the next day, Ichika tries to perform again. Thinking back on Kohane's words, Ichika is determined to be heard and manages to get some passersby to listen. Ichika performs through her anxiety, reflecting on how fun it was once she finishes, and gets a round of applause from the listeners, who ask her to come perform again.

During practice a few days later in SEKAI, Leo/need is blown away by how much Ichika's improved. Her and Miku decide to keep her public performances their secret, and Shiho says Ichika is ready to perform on stage. Ichika thanks her and admits her dream is to reach the same level as Shiho does so that Shiho can play to her heart's content.

Chapter 5[edit | edit source]

Ichika continues to perform on Main Street, gaining more listeners. She finds that she wants to get better to reciprocate the happy and fun feelings her audience gives her.

A cherry blossom tree in full bloom in Nonogi Park catches her eye after her performance. She reflects on some childhood memories with Leo/need and how she used to listen to Miku songs in the park, noting Miku brought them all back together after drifting apart and how her songs have a special place in her heart. She decides to tell Miku this directly.

Chapter 6[edit | edit source]

In SEKAI, MEIKO and Luka ask Miku how Ichika's improved so much. Miku says she only gave Ichika some advice and that she figured it out on her own, prompting Luka to tease her about becoming a good mentor since they first met the girls. Miku mentions she always thought being a mention suited the other two more, but they reassure her she's a good mentor for Ichika.

Ichika appears in SEKAI to talk to Miku, and the other two Virtual Singers leave for them to talk. Ichika thanks Miku for her help and asks her to listen to the difference, inviting her to the real world to listen.

Chapter 7[edit | edit source]

Ichika shows Miku the cherry blossoms. Miku says they're beautiful, and Ichika says that's because they're seeing them together. She reflects how much has changed since they first met, how Leo/need need couldn't have reconnected without Miku, and how she wants to play a song for Miku that communicates that.

Miku listens, thinks back on how the girls found their true feelings in the Main Story, and resolves to keep doing what she can to help them. Ichika finishes her song and says there's something she wants to tell Miku when they're interrupted.

Chapter 8[edit | edit source]

Miku hides as Minori and Kohane approach. The two were out shopping when they heard a Miku song and came to see who was singing. Minori asks if she can sing with her, Kohane agreeing, and the three begin singing.

On her way home from the hospital, Kanade almost collides with Tsukasa, who's running late to for a show. Tsukasa apologizes and quickly runs off. Kanade notices people singing a Miku song in the park and mentions how nicely their voices compliment each other.

The three girls finish singing, Minori asking if they can sing another. She then interrupts them before they start to ask Ichika to call her by her first name, Kohane echoing the sentiment. Ichika agrees, and they sing another song. Ichika thinks about how much fun singing is and how many different ways it can be enjoyed before noticing Kanade and puts in more effort, noting Kanade was smiling before she left.

The three part ways. Ichika thanks Miku for helping her connect to Minori and Kohane. Miku tells her she found her true feelings all on her own and to keep cherishing those feelings. They admire the cherry blossoms again.
